I am making this thread from my Palm Treo 700p. I just finished watching Ghost Busters on it so I thought I would share and test the browser on this thing.The best part is it's a company phone! what other gadgets are good, kids?points for anyone that can resist naming dildos, vibrators or rubber ass & pussies.

well one other advantage is usually the featureset is a little different. appointments that will let you know when they come up, as opposed to a laptop where you don't get your appointments until you turn it on.
personally i have no need for one because my appointments are generally 9AM - be at work. 5'ish - leave work, but for some people they make sense.

It is also a phone, so you can take a call in a crowded shop and look like a really important guy.
It is also an mp3 player. The player software that was included was called, I shit you not, pTunes, but since it has a speaker in it you can just subject anyone around you to your musical tastes.
Basically it is a device that allows you to be a massive cunt in public if you are an irresponsible gadgeter.
People like that should be shot without trial. Only doctors need their phones on in the movie theatre, and even then, on-call surgeons should go to the movies on their days off, not while on call.
There was a kid at the last movie I saw that spent half the movie standing in the theatre doorway on his phone. That alone is bad, but he replaced the leds in his keypad with some animated red green blue yellow horseshit leds.
You could never type fast enough on a iPod Touch/iPhone.

yes, in fact it is the best ipod for viewing movies due to the large screen, plus it supports itunes movie rentals, which are in fact a huge ripoff!

Video quality is great for a handheld device. Contrast isn't quite the best, but it is still just a handheld device.
The built in Safari browser is surprisingly full featured, and the smart touch interface is absolutely awesome. Take Penny Arcade for example. I can read the comic in widescreen mode then flip it up to read and post here.
Most iPod enabled car decks are still compatible with the Touch
Couple things that suck: No more disk mode and files are handled a different way from previous models. So it's not compatible with the 360 and (to my knowledge) no one's figured out a stable way to get music off of it yet.

I didn't have a phone or an ipod, so I just killed all those birds with one stone.
I also have a laptop, and the palm can be used as a cellular modem via bluetooth if I so please. That's a pretty neat feature.

and shoe, that's generally why i have no use for a PDA. my appointments aren't exactly complicated. i imagine if you're a lawyer, doctor or someone who has important appointments to remember with work, it'd make sense, otherwise it makes you look like someone with an overinflated sense of importance. like the fucking kids with PDAs. christ i want to punch every one of them.
