Okay so someone tell me how long I should give a group of muscles to recover between sets. I've yet to read a good explanation of this.

Thirty to forty-five seconds if you want an intense workout. Don’t do this if you’re doing a long workout (more than five or so exercises).
Sixty to ninety seconds if you’re doing a lot of exercises, or if you just don’t want to leave the gym feeling like you just left boxing practice.
