I wonder, now... was this wrong?

Is a thread about Roms made inappropriate by its very nature? Or by the actual legality of the questioning at hand?

I posted this in the Help/Advice forum, was helpfully told by a user that it might be against rules, and removed it, but when I think about it...

That suggestion may not have been entirely true, good natured as I assume it was.

Before you read this it is important you know that I only posted it because I really needed the help, I'm not trying to engage anyone in any illegal activities, but I do at one point mention a Rom site, so perhaps I should remove that and try again?

It is also important that you recognize that I do own all of the hardware and software for which I downloaded emulators, inaccessible as it may be to me at this time.

"I think everybody forgets things, and I think everybody loses memories.

This is a cycle of refreshing, or perhaps just the notion that even thoughts, when not entertained, die.

When I was younger my Dad played a game on our Saturn and it was without a doubt the greatest thing I had seen come from this machine up to that point.

I was young, eventually the Saturn was lost, and among other countless treasures, so was this game.

I have been actively searching for this game for 5 years, going only on a picture in my head of 2 field generals, one clearly Draconic in origin, dueling it out.

This image, I will say now, is like crack cocaine for me.

Earlier today I was going through the archives, a regular activity, when I came across this:

I was inspired to read the news post in depth when Ngage was involved, because Ngage had a number of exclusive RPG experiences that I always really wanted to enjoy.

At that point, he mentioned a game he had been sent... and a game that it was based on...

Dragon Force? I thought to myself?

Could it be?

Images began to race through my head, their footprints like naughty reminders in my brain...

I kissed my monitor, and let forth a Creee of enthusiasm.

With the help of my good friend August I procured a Rom of this game, but here is where things go downhill.

I am an idiot.

I need your help, I need it so desperately...

I've now tried 4 emulators, solidifying my failures to new heights at each downloaded turn, like some sort of cruel.... actually, a lot like 4chan.

I cleansed my machine of all things downloaded except for the .Zip file regarding Dragon Force itself, which remains on my desktop, it was obtained by means of Coolrom.com, a healthy source; or so I'm told.

What I really need here is for someone to walk me through every step of playing this game, leaving me no guess work, and no place to fail, in the most beautiful and elegant way possible.

What I am asking for is an elaborate computer orchestra sheet for a kinder gardener.

Because I am an idiot.

Do you remember, when I said I was an idiot?

I am an idiot.

Halp!"

-Thanks.
