The art is really nice, how much did you spent for the entire project? (including the PC)
Thanks for the great response. I have used about $1200 or 6500 danish kroner in total. Thats alot to me, but I just needed to make this cabinet and hope it could inspire others

lokesen: Yours is definitely a well built example, though.
I have 2 arcade machines in houston. One, a restored Wonderboy jamma cabinet, the other, a converted Carnival Balloon cabinet, housing a PC.
Wonderboy is my favorite arcade machine of all time. The only game I like better is Wonderboy in Monsterland, that game took all my coins when I was about 10 years old. I really really loved it. I have been a SEGA fan ever since. Bought a Sega Master System a short period after... Those were the times

There was some classic sega color vectors. TAC-SCAN is one of my favorite games. Sega did make a fair amount of innovative stuff that still has been unmatched. I still need to get around to finally assembling my ms.pacman cocktail. That is, when I'm able to finally secure a cocktail cabinet.

Wow, thats a really cool game. Just about as retro as it gets, I just love it. Yep, SEGA has made a bunch of great games, but not much since the Dreamcast, where I think they peaked.
A colleague of mine from work actually does have a similar gaming-rig, although I'm not sure if he built it himself, bought it whole, or bought a kit to do it. It has the same setup, arcade-style cabinet with MAME, etc. Yours definitely looks nicer though!
TSR, what do you actually DO for a living, and can you hire me?
I'm a film student.
Wait.
Maybe I'm confused.
But I thought you were in Computer Science at UT.
Also, when do you graduate?
I switched a long time ago. And, cross your fingers, next semester.
Also, you still in austin? You graduated a while back, right?
Ahhhh.... maybe you told me that and I forgot, but yeah, I was still under the impression you were in CS. Why the change? You seem like a pretty awesome programmer.
Next semester you graduate, huh? That's good, good. Do you have a job lined up? (some people do, some people don't before their last semester. Most people get jobs lined up towards the middle/end of their last semester, and if not, then the following months after they graduate) My younger brother (cross fingers) should be graduating then too.
As far as myself, unfortunately no, I'm not in Austin any more. I love that city. But I graduated UT in Spring 07, and held a summer job there while applying to law school - and now I'm in law school in Houston. So I rarely get the chance to go to Austin. Still have a ton of friends up there though, all with various jobs. So I try to make the occasional trip there, but it's extremely rare.

Very, very cool.
Edit: Nope.
Color me skeptical. It would be pretty damn cool though. Pain in the ass to move around, but cool.

I've cleaned it up and put new decals on.
edit: Sorry, didn't know that was that big.

Thats a really cool cabinet. Galaga is one of the games I play most. It's hard, but has fantastic gameplay.
