Looking to buy some in-ear buds for general train trips, and while walking around in the city. Don't want to spend over 100 AUS dollars, but I am going by eBay not RRP.
I heard Sennheisers were the best in this department. I was considering the CX line, the CX 300, 400, or 500.
500 seems to be the best bet, and I can get them for about 70 AUS, rather than 150. Should I be buying Sony, or Etymotics? Noise cancellation isn't that big of a deal, I just need something comfortable, with good sound quality. I am no audiophile though, just looking to replace my tinny, shitty, iPod headphones.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Can't speak to the earbud style as I simply can't wear them;
That said all the other Sennheiser headphones I've ever owned have been absolutely wonderful.
The last time I was shopping for good headphones I spent about a week on the Headwize forums; it's a pretty good site. The forumers there tend towards the audiophile but I've seen good threads on portable headphones as well.
