For whatever reason I cannot use the search function I might as well ask right out about this.
So this Xmas I gotten a nice new 360 and a friend from work wants to game-on, but we can't
really find any good games besides gears of war and halo3 that offer fun coop action that
also gets us achievement points while we play.
So does anyone here have some suggestions for any games that fit that order? Doing like
straight up deathmatch games isn't want we have in mind. Maybe like an A+ racing game, or anything
of the sort.
I really don't want to resort to getting him to buy Marvel UA just for more easy points we can
both do online.
Hm, besides that, I had fun with Perfect Dark Zero. But apparently the game is the anti-christ to everyone but me, so I guess I shouldn't recommend it.
There is army of two and kane & lynch, but I haven't played either so I can't actually tell you if they're worth picking up.
Anyone have any inside to Blazing Angels 2? That was like one of the few games that looked pretty "Different" than most of the fps coop games I found at eb.
Though maybe one of the Rainbow Six games would work. Which one is the real question.
GRAW2 is my fave coop game on the 360, especially with the new download maps just released, there are a bunch of achievement points for each coop mission as well.
If DC ever gets on the action RPG boat, I'd be right there, but only Marvel has so far. Justice League: Legends? Bought'd
Too bad it sucks.
Eh, it wasn't that bad. Wasn't a great game, but it an enjoyable beat 'em up. Fucking criminal that it wasn't four-player though. Who the fuck does that in this day and age?
Crackdown is one of the best co-op games, ever. It's online only though.

The Original GRAW had some co-op bonus points too. Kameo has a sort of lame version of co-op, but I don't think you can actually get any of the achievements with it. A lot of sports games have in-game achievements for doing certain things, some of them let you unlock them in online and multiplayer play (with the PCs on opposite teams).
I think Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (or something like that, whichever is only on 360...there's like 8 of them now) has a light form of co-op, but I might just be thinking of the better original Xbox version.

The facehuggers want to play with you in the AvP LP. Facehuggers also want you to check out the TF2 cards here. View the in-progress RE mansion recreation for L4D here.
LEGO Star Wars : The Complete Saga is full of awesome, especially if you have not played Episodes I - III or IV - VI previously. There is a tonne of co-op game contained within, and it is pretty funny too.

I think Saints Row had some sort of co-op, but I don't know if it was over Live. All of those KOEI games tend to have some sort of co-op as well (Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors), but I don't think those are over Live, either. I don't know about on-line achievements for any of those, either.

Undertow on XBLA is pretty fun co-op. It's pretty short, but my friend and I are having lots of fun with it. There's an achievement for completing it in co-op as well.
Also, if you care about co-op achievments, M:UA does have one for just booting it up with a friend, so you can always rent that

A thousand times Earth Defense Force 2017
I got it for my brother for Christmas. It is amazing. We still need to play through it all the way but, damn, that game is fun.
Too bad it sucks.

And Burnout Paradise (I guess) is you want something arcade-y, and PGR4 if you want something in between

Earth Defense Force 2017 (local only)
Rainbow 6 Vegas
GRAW 2
Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom (online only)
Kane and Lynch
That's all I got
Get it anyway, man. It's cheap, and deliciously cheesy actiony fun.
Even if it had no co-op it would be so worth owning. It would be better if it had online, but local is more fun anyway.
edit - Earth Defense Force 2017 defense force is go!
Also uh... lots of XBLA games are online co-op. How about those?
And seriously, Burnout is an amazing amazing racing game. Hell it even has online co-op. so there.

"Damn you Mothership! Did we wake you up?!"
Wait.. What? I Co-op'd with my wife for a couple hours the other day and only got the "killed 10 baddies" achievement.
The innuendo.. it is rife!
