I posted this in the CoD4 thread, but for those of you not following it here's the press release. Very little information is available right now about the new maps and modes, but thankfully they'll be hitting soon.

I wonder if they'll offer those maps for PC users, too, or keep them on console to differentiate them a little. I own both the 360 and PC versions, so I wouldn't mind some exclusive console content to keep me interested in both versions. Apparently, though, they'll be taking some of the best custom maps made for the PC version and release them on consoles.

You mean like how you guys already have custom maps and bug fixes and the consoles do not?

It would be a silly move for them to put a lot of time and effort into making the maps, then not allow PC players to buy them somehow. My money is on "they will be in a future expansion pack."

Excellent. The map rotation is getting a bit stale on the 360. Brown, dusty maps make ChewyWaffles cry.

They better be free if PC users have their own map making tools (for free!).

Microsoft better not insist on them charging. Or else. OR ELSE!

I say import Halo 3 maps into COD. Soap in a Warthog!

I'm throwing out a guess at 800 MS points, with another 50% chance that it'll be 800 per map.

I'd pay 800 points for 2 or more maps though.
