So I am in need of a little extra cash recently and I decided selling my xbox 360 console, games, accessories would be a nice way to pick up some money. It has pretty much gone untouched in the past two+ months anyways. Later today I will be swinging by my local gamestop to see what kind of offer I would get for cash there, but from everything I hear they give you very poor prices all around. If that turns out to be the case I will turn to ebay/craigslist.

Was hoping some people would be able to give me a ballpark price on my gear if they had done any buying/selling in the area recently.

I would be selling:

Xbox 360 with HD (with Castlevania symphony of the night).
Two Wireless Controllers.
Two rechargeable battery packs and charging stand.
Guitar Hero 2 wired guitar.
Guitar Hero 3 wireless guitar.

as for games:
Assassin's Creed
Bioshock
Dead Rising
Guitar Hero 2 (broken)
Guitar Hero 3
Halo 3
Mass Effect
Virtua Fighter 5 Online

I'm guessing I might be able to fetch between 400-600 dollars for all this? It is all used, but in very good condition as I was a responsible owner with the items. Thanks.

    (in trade in value)
The 360 goes for around $150
    Controllers are $16 a piece
Battery packs are $7, but if it's one stand and two packs as a single unit it may fetch $10
Officially licenced guitars sell for around $35

Games are all new, so lets say $25 a piece, minus dead and virtua, so $300ish

So you're looking at $500 to $550 in store credit. When you take cash they will slash that down to around $400

You could sell the games for $30-35 on ebay/craigs and make a few more bucks, and maybe, MAYBE make $30 more on the console.

I guess it just comes down to weather or not you want to wait for someone to offer to buy your stuff or have the cash instantly. How bad do you need it?

Trade in is store credit, which is the $500 to $550.

    Cash would be around $400.

Selling your shit for cash is usually the worst way to go man. You're going to take a huge loss regardless of how you do it.

Is this a situation where you can make payments on whatever you need the cash for?

well actually I initially got the console and two controllers for 200 dollars, so that would cut out a good amount of the implied loss. and I do need the cash asap unfortunately. got a few nasty overdraw fees on my checking account (which I won't likely be able to negotiate out of). and while I'm not positive on this, I'm pretty sure they charge daily for leaving the account overdrawn (sovereign bank).
