The matches will be 5-stock battles, with a seven minute time limit. All items will be turned on, medium frequency, and stages will be set to random.(Yes, be prepared for possible Rumble Falls.) In the Doubles Tourney team attack will be turned on.

Between March 9th and March 23rd(Earlier if you are Japanese, I guess.) all participants must PM two things to me: 1) Your SSBB Friend Code and 2) The two characters you will want to play as(More on this in a bit).

Every participant will be sent their opponent's Friend Code(s) the day prior to the match, so you have 24 hours to add them. It's up to you whether or not you want to keep it after the match, of course.

As for the characters, I decided, after some thought, to enforce character selection. It will keep things more organized and will level the playing field somewhat. You have two weeks(March 9th-23rd) to play all the characters and feel which ones you wish to play as, once you've picked two, PM them to me. These two characters will be the only ones you can use in the tourney.

You can switch to Zero Suit using Taunt spamming (sorta like how you unlocked super grapple in melee). Speaking of, someone go test if that even exists still :)

Haha, tonight's update was pretty fun, even if it wasn't anything new. I like the subtle hint about Lucario, as well as Sakurai's conviction about how awesome the swordsmen are. The Samus taunt makes me wonder how many characters will have little secrets like that (come to think of it, that might be how you get Snake's codecs, only on Shadow Moses).

I plan to be rockin' one of the fancy new sigs once I get done with this week. Still don't know who I'll main yet, but I can at least get a little placeholder action going.

Quick silly question as I've not seen it mentioned at all (so I should assume it's fine!) are there any framerate issues in any levels? I saw a gametrailers video (which may have just been the codec) where the framerate was a bit choppy on a created level

    Sakurai said:

What’s this? ...So you can shed your armor anytime you want?!

Thing is, you’re going to have to put that command in pretty darn fast in order for it to work. If you’ve set your taunts to the +Control Pad on your controller, you’ll eventually input the command correctly if you rapidly hammer up and down on the +Control Pad.

It’s not easy, but how awesome is it that you can make Samus coolly switch between two completely different fighting forms! Try it out next time you feel like showing off.

Underline is my emphasis, I read it as working both ways.

    O CRAP! I got it.

You have to do it REALLY fast. I had to use both my hands... turned the controller sideways and had a thumb on up and a thumb on down

When it happens it interrupts her taunt - she immediately starts to glow and kneels down and puts a hand on the floor, then light flashes from her and the armor falls off.

Tried doing it again as ZSS but nothing happens
Although, it's not absolutely certain at this point. It seems like it's actually pretty hard to pull off.
