Cave Story? WinXP English version pleases?

Ok so they reviewed this in the local paper for some reason today, that spurred me to look into it more, and I realised I had been confusing it with MAPLE STORY - which I didn't want to play (having played Ragnarok and such).

Ok so it's a different game entirely - but it's not clear what I should be downloading or where from.

I suppose I'm looking for the english translation version that works on WinXP?

Halp?

It's the first thing that comes up in Google, pretty easy search.

You should do the LP, Speakeasy, that'd be awesome.

It was translated by Aeon Genesis. thats Agtp.'illegaltomentionword'hack.net. Shouldn't be too hard to find. It is Cave Story after all.

You'd want the deluxe package, Deusfaux. That's what I got, anyway.

Yeah, it's got that "NES Soundboard on Steroids" sort of feel to it, but it's all part of the charm, really.

Well I don't know what you mean exactly. If you mean like NES-type music, then yes. If you mean shoddy quality music, then no.

Yes, however if the music sounds really odd you might want to set your sound settings down to the lowest possible. I have to do that on mine or the music in certain areas (like Egg Corridor) has sections missing and it sounds like total crap.
