So with smash brawl coming out soon, I wanted to pick up some new cube controllers to play with.....but I was going around and I couldnt find the official controllers anymore!! I was even in NYC a few weeks back and checked the nintendo world, and found they didnt sell em. I have a new 3rd party one but it just feels odd, and doesnt feel 'right'
Is there anywhere that sell these anymore? Looking for new ones, but if not, im sure i have to go to ebay or something similar to it.
You mean like that one for 6$ + shipping? I pretty much always check ebay when I want something. I usually end up buying it there too. Great deals on most anything if you're willing to watch a few auctions during the week and snipe one for cheap. If you don't want to use ebay try a used game store. They always seem to have that sort of thing laying around. Being in Toronto there ought to be something like that around I would think.

I just wanted to mention that I bought two of those a few years ago, and while they work alright, they are a bit different from normal first-party controllers. They are real sensitive to movement on the directional stick and the buttons seems to fail at a higher rate. Just a precaution, since they look almost just like actual Nintendo controllers.

Interesting. I guess I'm lucky enough to not have any friends that own the same systems I do. Cuts out the need for more than one controller
I usually hunt through the pawn shops for controllers when I need them. You can usually find a few that are in excellent condition if you look hard enough. As long as you stay with the Nintendo branded models and the sticks still feel reasonably 'tight' you should be ok.

Wireless makes a huge difference (unless you're sitting really close to your TV), and as a wireless controller the Wavebird can't be beaten. The batteries last forever, plus it's a first-party controller so it feels every bit as solid as a normal GC controller. The only downside is the lack of rumble, but unless you're really in love with the rumbling it's well worth the sacrifice.
Unfortunately it seems like they're kinda hard to find.
The Nintendo brand Gamecube controllers are the only ones I've ever used that don't feel like they're going to break in my hands. You really want to try to find first-party controllers, new or used doesn't matter too much as long as you're allowed to return it if it doesn't work right, they're still out there. It might take some shopping around though, include EBStops in the search because I can still consistently find them there.

I second a Wavebird. Just bought one off of eBay for $25 which seems like a steal. They are wonderful controllers, and I don't miss the rumble at all.

Don't order from classic game source.
