The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
It was entertaining, but I wasn't able to sit through 25 minutes of it. That guy sounds kind of like Ray Ramano.

So after I had a relapse of Crohn's this weekend that almost left me hospitalized, I now find myself a week behind in my projects for school, I'm back on Prednisone which makes my hands shake (right in time for the final projects stretch and my Graduate Studio 1 class next quarter), and to top it off I also managed to catch my girlfriend's cold, which she was recovering from when taking care of me while I was incapacitated. On the bright side, I have a shiny new 9x12 Intuos3 tablet on the way, so that's good.
Jon, are you going to have your colon replaced, just like Munkus? That would show him!
I'm doing better. I'm actually beginning to function (though I haven't started taking drugs yet, I'm getting my prescription today).
I might actually be getting my first job pretty soon, but unfortunately it's at a local pizza place. I really wanted to avoid having to resort to fast-food joints, but I'm kinda outta options. My first trial shift is next Tuesday.
lly: various brain teasers and the like
it's actually gotten really friggen challenging!

Just looked at some screenshots and it looks gorgeous. Also any game with a french folk soundtrack is a must buy in my book. I'll stick it on my oh so long list of games to buy when i can afford them!
I worked in Pizza Express for a while, but that wasn't really a fast food place. Pizza races fills my mind with fantastic images though

Munkus had his colon removed, not replaced.
And not having a colon, according to what I've heard from Munkus, seems much, much worse than Crohn's.
Mayday: Fortunately (if that word is even appropriate in this case) my Crohn's has up until now been completely localized in my stomach, so it's been entirely treatable with just popping a few pills and calling it a day. Last month, though, they did a series of tests (had to down three cups of straight-up Barium in one sitting... guh...) and I found out that it's actually started to spread further, which is pretty much inevitable when it comes to Crohn's... but no, it hasn't reached that point and probably won't, at least not with me. Every case of Crohn's is different and acts completely at random from patient to patient, which is one of the many reasons why it's so hard to diagnose initially... hell, they STILL don't even know what causes it, let alone have a cure for it.
I'm still at the point where I can avoid potential surgery if I just watch what I eat and take care of myself... but being in college, it's REALLY hard to say no to Taco Bell when I'm trying to pull an all-nighter.
It's interesting that you immediately thought of having a Colon removed when you heard the word "Crohn's," too. It seems to be a common misconception that that is the ONLY place it can affect.
That sucks about Munkus. I was unaware he had Crohn's as well.
I'm not sure he had Crohn's but he sure as hell did brag a lot about his operation :P. I remember one time a few months after his operation he had a sig with huge letters: "FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SIX MONTHS I PASSED SOLID STOOL".
He didn't have Crohn's. It was something else that was really fucked up and required his colon to be removed. Or I think the doctors fucked up. One or the other.

I've been waiting forever to tell everyone how they're jerks.
Sheesh.
Addendum:
Also you mean one of these?
What do you think comes in the Chat soup? Chicken?
I wasn't prepared for such an occasion and got caught up in the moment i.e. I started asking people "what the hell do I do now???"
edit: Well, the obvious ingredient of [CHAT] soup would be those Alphabet noodles.
That said, I'm pretty sure it's some form of baby based broth.

I kind of thought that he sounded like a strange combination of Borat, Christopher Walken, and Woody Allen.
But yeah, it should have been like, 7 min tops.
Kid, you're going places! 8-)
How's everyone else doing 'round these parts?
