There's a soccer thread but there's no basketball thread? How's that possibly possible?? Now don't get me wrong, i'm a soccer fan too, and i cheer every time i see Ronaldo running. But how can there be no basketball thread? Especially when this season is shaping up to be the most exciting one since ... i can't even remember.
Granted, it's mostly because teams are making outrageous nonsense trades like the GM's are playing a video game, but there are a ton of scary teams in the West. And for once in the new millennium, the East has a legitimate contender in the Celtics, so the NBA Finals will actually be interesting instead of the championship being decided in the West. (Miami 2006 doesn't count cuz everyone knows that was a fluke.)
So who do you think is gonna make it out of the West?
Do you think Detroit has a chance against Boston?
Who's gonna win MVP? Kobe, Garnett, or Chris Paul?
Can anyone make any sense out of the Shaq/Marion trade?
Will the Lakers make it out of the first round now that Kwame Brown is gone??
