Just incase anyone doesn't know, you can pre-register for PAX '06 now for $35 (all three days). I'll be doing so at the end of the month after I get my credit card billed cleared off.

Thought it'd be nice to let people know it's open and all. :D

    Bah.

I was going to make this thread LAST night, but I thought it better to let Khoo or someone make an official announcement. Oh well.

I registered on the 13th at around 8 or 9pm.

It's Qorzm's wishful thinking, but I'm fine with any year that Aug. 27 is part of PAX (it's my birthday damnit). BTW, I'm pre-reg'ed (night of the 14th) and already hating the months that lie between now and PAX.

I signed up and I have to agree that the months between now and August just needs to disappear. One question I do have is I did not see a BYOB sign up like last years. Does anyone know if they will have this as part of the event?

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

The BYOPC will in fact be an option this year, but will be a separate registration, as will all tournaments. Keep an eye on the forums as well as your inbox in the upcoming weeks for the link.

Hey Khoo, I know that media registration precludes one from being chosen for the Omegathon, but does it also not allow one to compete in the other tournaments?

Media is eligible for day-of tourney signups, but not for prereg tourney signups.

Could media then perhaps register as normal AND get a media badge so as to be eligible to omega/tourney while not having the sponsors look at you like a freak when showing up for interviews?

Sure, just register as you normally would for both. :)

Well, I was going to wait and ask whether or not I should pre-register in case I wanted to volunteer this year. However, according to the form that was posted in the news post, minors can't be Enforcers and I'll still be a minor one month after PAX.

    Oh well.

GIS only gets cool when you get way into the results. It's kinda like panning for gold. Gay biker gold.

I'm mostly just concerened with console game tourneys. Are those pre-reg or day-of?
