If you want to compress then get something like Virtualdub. Load the video, choose your compression, then save the video. Voila. Pretty much all recording software gives you uncompressed videos so you'll usually have to compress them.
Hey Gilder, you mentioned Legend of Legaia in Valkun's vid.
You gonna do a Let's Play for that?
Nah, I'm not funny enough for screenshots and that's the only way to do really long RPG's like that. I'd also be tempted to try and get the final summon which requires so much grinding that my brain would melt.
OoT and MM are the main reason I hate stealth in non-stealth games. They just drag everything down until you're done. Oh whoopdeedoo, I got caught. Nevermind the fact that I can kill anything in my path and I'm the hero, let me just sit here and wait for you to catch me. They can't even pull the excuse of lethal force because every time you do hit someone or fight them, they just run away or get knocked out.
I can think of some better examples. Dreamfall is a good one.
Besides the Deku Palace, what other stealth sections are in MM? I'm thinking that's it. If you fail the first time there, the next time in they show you the guards' line of sight. So it's pretty easy. I was just saying, with the Stone Mask, you don't even have to bother because they can't see you.
I always thought that it only showed it at night. I figured that those lights were from lamps that the guards were carrying, or something like that. And can you really get the Stone Mask so early? Don't you need the Lens of Truth to get it?
Yeah, I don't think it's posible to get the stone mask before then, but you can use it on the 2nd stealth part in the Great Bay.
Sequence breaking? I don't know if anyone's ever done it. And yeah, I totally forgot about the Gerudo Fortress. Point is, you can skip the first stealth section in the beginning (I believe you can buy seeds from the Business Scrub at the outskirts of the swamp) and come back to it after you have the Stone Mask.
A pointless workaround, but if you really hate the stealth parts..

The garden wasn't that bad but it still takes too long. It's just annoying and I don't like it but the fortress is even worse. It's not possible at that point in the game to have enough bottles to carry all the eggs so at least once you're required to leave and come all the way back. Because of that and because stealth in Zelda is stupid, I refuse to do that section without the stone mask.
It's totally possible to have enough bottles to carry out all the Zora eggs from the Gerudo Fortress in one go the first time. You just have to go a bit out of your way to get the last one you need.

Hmm I could've sworn I've tried before but I'm always one short. Still, if you go in the direction the game pushes you and you don't wander into areas you shouldn't go to you shouldn't have enough.

Okay, slow upload is slow. But while I wait for the last parts to upload, you can view me wandering around for 30 minutes!

There are.. 4? in the Fortress?
1: Helping Koume
2: Helping Romani
3: Delivering the priority mail to the Mayor's wife
4: Racing the beavers
5: Winning the Goron race? Not sure.
6: I think you can buy one at the Curiosity Shop
I'm trying to remember how many notes are in the song you get at the lab. It's either 6 or 7.. or, I don't know, you should have enough either way.
edit: Hmm.. actually, #5 or #6 may be from one of the graves you can explore underneath the graveyard.
From what I recall when I played Majora's Mask a few months ago, there are 7 eggs. Three are acquired in the polluted water, which indeed leaves 4 to be found in the fortress.
Also, that final bottle is found in the graveyard after you get the Captain's Hat, either on the second or third day. First day is the Song of Storms, and the other is a Piece of Heart. Winning the Goron Race nets you the bottle with Gold Dust so that you can get the improved sword.
The first episode of Twilight Princess is now being processed. Highlights include: Me getting the slingshot and sword, calling Truss SimBen by accedent due to a similar phone incident for some reason, me taking forever how to find out how to fish, and more. All in about an hour and a half recording (Will be split up before being linked here). I am the Zelda version of Otsham.

Since you asked in the video, the clock rocks are called Gossip Stones.
Good job so far, keep it up

Yeah, it's pretty fun watching you play Oot, because it's pretty much exactly how I played it, lots of wandering around, getting stuck, and wandering around some more doing sidequests. Good memories.
A few helpful notes.
For the Cuccos in the village: You CAN get all of them when you get there. That one behind the fence is a really weird-ass jump. I think you need to jump on the crate near the door while holding a Cucco to make it. And the crate in front of the house next to the stairs on ground level also has a Cucco in it. Roll into the crate to break it.
Hylian Sheild: You could of gotten one for free by going to the graveyard. One of the graves has an aclove that has a chest with one. I think you need to kill some enemies, like a ReDead, to make the chest appear. And I assume you know where the Sun's Song is, right?
Part 1 - A land where dark clouds implies wet clothes. I hate wearing wet clothes. Part 2 - Where a classic character makes a cameo appearance!
And now, I'm going out. Ironically, it's raining outside right now. =/
Good stuff! You really need to stop cutting every piece of grass on the screen, though. I do that also when I play zelda, but it's really tedious when you're just watching.
I look forward to the rest of your LP, though. I imagine a lot of people didn't play this game, which is a shame because it's very good. So watch this LP, everyone!

But he does it with fire! Can't go wrong with fire.
Valkun, that was freaking awesome. Espically when you got to the boss... XD Anyhow...
Edit: Google sucks, and I screwed up trying to convert files to Stage 6. I'll have to remake the video agian so the orignal file IS Stage 6 compatable.
Although it does get annoying when you fight darknuts, because if you jump, and then stab as you fall (forward stab) it will damage the knight without problems. This is harder to do when you have the jump spell on.

I just realized the Owl voice that you are doing sounds like Hedonism Bot.

You have to whip out the Ocarina in front of Malon to learn the song, since Link is incapable of singing.
Anyway, here's part three.
As for the owl voice thing:
I apologize for nothing!

Part 2 coming February 2008.
It's the same with those two skull kids in the forest. "Oh! You have an ocarina?" is the most common phrase across the land of Hyrule.
Hahaha. Funny. And probably the best way to do these kind of old-school fuzzy-plot games.
Where did you find the music? Especially the orchestrated Zelda remix?

A link (no pun intended) to the video would be nice :P
and you people need to stop making new LPs. I'm now following;
Chrono Trigger
Hitmen:Blood Money
The MegaThread
Bioshock
and ALL these Zelda LPs
Okay, I see what I did there. What I meant was: I uploaded, and now Google is "processing" my video. How long til it's done?
EDITED TO ADD : I'll do a special post (with image!) for when the video will be actually viewable.
What, not Deus Ex?
But... Italax has an accent.
WHAAT?! But it's been, like, 3 hours! And my vid is what, 67 megs?
Is this the "Google Video sucks balls" phenomenon I've been hearing of?
