The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
So it's been ongoing now for like at least a week. It's my left eye and it's really really really annoying.
I went through a really stressful experience from September through December which is when the twitching started (and was worse than what it is now) and it went away when I took a month off of work to go home (currently working on the other side of the country). Now that I'm back, the twitching has returned. The stress isn't nearly as bad as it was, but I'm definitely not shitting rainbows right now.
Any ideas (quitting my job right now isn't an option). I'm working on my resume, but I've never been very good at making what I do sound like it's much, even if it's saving the company (which is close to what I did that caused the stress).
To top things off, I've got a big trip coming up this summer that's also adding some stress. I'll be thrust into activities that I've never done and going to places that I never imagined (including having no idea how to speak the language).
Well if you have time, it might be best to just have a little "ME Time". You know just relaxing and not worrying about anything except your needs. I know sometimes it can be hard to get started and get your mind off things, but once you get going it'll be fine. To me it just sounds like you just need a stress release. Here's some things that I find relaxing that might help.
Watch a movie
Play some video games
read a book
take a nice long bath
take a nap
These are just some of the things I do to take my mind off of things, hope it helps.
Oh to add, even if you can manage an hour a day some relaxation is better than none.
I've heard that potassium may also help. Try either taking some pills, or eating a banana or two. May not get rid of it completely, consider the main trigger appears to be stress, but it may help!
The human body is really interesting. I had a twitching eye that lasted for about two weeks and I didn't feel stressed at all. I knew I had a lot of work that had to be done and there was a lot of pressure to be successful at it, but never once was I panicking, yet my body was certainly reacting to what was going on around me.
My advice is to avoid caffeine at all costs, as that will exacerbate the tension relieving process. Get more sleep and fit in some mellow activities. Video games aren't recommended, as that can sometimes bring about more tension than a reduction of it.
Realized this morning that my glasses prescription is inadequate. I'm making an appointment this week as it's been about 5 years since I've been to the optometrist. Particularly the left eye was not in focus.
