Resurrecting my computer

My computer died a few days ago- it's being worked on now, and I'll have it back in a week or two.

When I get it back, I want the absolute BEST anti-spyware and antivirus protection I can get for it.

Recommendations?

    Well, there are all sorts of options here, but personally, I like BitDefender. The primary reason is that when I read reviews and tests of the various antivirus/antispyware products, it performs well and is reasonably priced.
