I just picked up a 17" widescreen HP laptop and now I'm on the hunt for a solid bag to put this thing in. Any suggestions?

I'd recommend the Otter Box laptop case... in my opinion.. one of the best protection cases around.

    company website: http://www.otterbox.com/

    video review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKWqkkktEGc

(In the video review, the tech stop reviews the case in the second half.)

*edit* I thought I'd add what he puts the case through...:

Shoots it with a airsoft gun
    Runs over with a car
submerges it with water and sprays with a hose

and the laptop inside didn't have a scratch on it and was fully functioning.

I have had a bag from http://www.tombihn.com/ for three years and it has been amazing.

My girlfriend swears by her Crumpler backpack. They have messenger bags as well. They're seriously high-quality, and a good choice if you're looking for something stylish/funky as opposed to the generic office look.

I acutally just ordered a Crumpler bag this morning. I got the "Considerable Embarassment". I ended up with one of those over a Timbuk2 Laptop Messenger because the tb2 bags just looked either a little big for what I needed, or way to small. The ones I was looking were also $40 more than the crumpler bag.

So I ended up with the bag with UPS 2day shipping for $100 even, which is $10 less than the tb2 bag alone.

I've heard only good things about both brands though...

I have a Swiss Army laptop bag, but I can't say I've heard anything but great stuff about Timbuk2 stuff.
