How do you get a prescription refilled? [solved]

Stupid adulthood question #482..

so yeah, have a bottle of pills with 6 refills, do I just take the bottle to Walgreen's or what? Does it have to be from the place I originally got the medicine?

i dont even like matisyahu and i dont know why i picked this username

    You just need the Rx number on the pill bottle label. Most places you can order a refill on the phone or website so you don't have to wait when you go in. Typically it's faster if you went to where you had it filled originally. Otherwise you'll have to transfer your record from the the old store.

    As far as I know, 'round these parts they would have to call the Dr. as well as first store to confirm the Rx, if you go somewhere else. This way someone can't go around refilling at 7 places with their first empty bottle.

    Go back to the place you got the first fill and you should be fine. Like focused7 said, call ahead and they'll have it ready for you.
