So I'm getting a Guitar Hero 3 battery recharge pack for like $10 (one of the many, insignificant advantages of working in retail? Still no.) and I was just wondering if anyone knew of the battery's charge time, and how long it lasts on regular play time. I've been trying to look for some sort of review but nada.
I just don't want to have to take it home and then be disapointed and have to bring it back (it's just a huge hassle).
Well, in four or so months of owning the thing (whenever it came out), I've had to replace my standard-issue Duracells once. And that was about a week ago. And I use the damn thing constantly. I can't tell you how well the recharge pack performs, but I know that normal batteries work spectacularly, and in my opinion adding recharge ability would only present itself unnecessary hassle--though, it does bring the benefit of a cleaner environmental conscience, but if that's you concern than no amount of hassle or the possibility of poor performance would have deterred you from buying that thing on day one.
If you want a rechargable solution, just go all-out and get some real rechargable batteries. They'll work at least as well, and once you've got the charger you can easily pick up more batteries to use for your other electronics. I picked up a Sanyo Eneloop kit from Costco and some extra AAs from Amazon (a total of 16AAs, 2 AAAs and adapters to turn a AA into C and D) for like $30, and that perfectly covers my 4 Wiimotes and 4 360 controllers.
