Ha, I have this stupid game. My brother got it for his birthday, back when Power Rangers were still cool. Surprisingly, the game is actually quite decent.
I was big on Power Rangers back in the day. I bought all the toys and played all the games. Beyond that, my stepmom used to work for the father of one of the actors (he played Skull, if you remember the show at all) and that gave me a pretty good opportunity to meet and talk with him occasionally.
The Genesis version of the game was just a (crappy) fighting game. There was a sequel on the SNES to this game that was also pretty good.
Here is some trivia from the show:
The actors were originally paid ridiculously low. Like, in the hundreds of dollars per episode vicinity. I'm sure they thought it was a great deal at the time when they were starting out, but the show took off and made Saban millions. After a season or two, three of the actors demanded higher pay and threatened to leave the show, thinking that Saban would have to give in because the show couldn't be done without them. They were subsequently written off, with several episodes filmed with stand-ins until they could find replacements and integrate them into the cast. Eventually, Saban started paying the actors better, but obviously not soon enough for those three. The show has always avoided working with union-labor to keep costs down.
The show is now mostly produced in New Zealand due to cheaper production fees. (Keep in mind that much of the footage is just re-appropriated Japanese super sentai stuff).
The original Yellow Ranger, Thuy Trang, died in a car accident about six years ago.
The original Red Ranger, Austin St. John, hit the juice and appeared in a gay porn.

I'm pretty sure those Red Ranger pictures turned out to be fake. The guy does have a passing resemblance to him when he was younger, but he looks fairly different from all current pictures.
Okay, I edited my video so now it's less than half as long with little to no dry areas, I talk a bit more and not as loud. I just need gert's approval.

...I was thinking the same thing...
If the yellow ranger isn't Asian and the black ranger a homey from the Bronx then I want nothing to do with this.
Like a fox.
I shall watch this. Power Rangers was a huge part of my childhood.
I know. It's like the exact opposite thing to Lindsay lohan.
On topic, I wouldn't mind some advice on how to improve my videos.
This seems to be somehow on topic. Anyway, I shall now watch the video. Commence the viewing!

use your indoor voice. But really it worked without you talking. A lot of the things you typed out would have been that much better with some vocals.

There is only so much you can infer from 1 animated gif.
Gert's not here to add it to the OP, but I guess that's alright.
Yeah, this is 100% not true. The guy in question looked vaguely like a jacked-up St. John, but it wasn't him.
In reality, Austin is pretty flabby now. You can see a recent picture of him on his Wikipedia entry.
You appear to have uploaded the wrong video.
No, I'm pretty sure that's MMPR. It looks pretty familiar.
Why would you say that?
??
I'm confused as well.
Regardless, I just wanted to pop in and show my support for a project worthy of the Podcasters name. Keep that nostalgia train running!
