Super thin condoms?

KyzenKyzen Registered User regular
edited February 2008 in Help / Advice Forum
My last girlfriend and I had sex without condoms; she was on another form of birth control, and it was just more fun that way.

My current girlfriend doesn't like the mess involved in not using a condom, and I respect that, but I sometimes find it harder to cum with a condom on, especially after about a year of frequent condomless sex. Hell, sometimes it just flat out kills my erection after a rather short period of time.

Any suggestions for something super thin or that doesn't kill quite so much of the sensation? Presently we just us standard Tojans or whatever the Durex condoms are that are in the black and purple box.

Also, aside from viagra, are there any over the counter options to prolong an erection? Currently (when the condom isn't killing it for me) we go for 15-20 minutes, but I wouldn't mind lasting longer some times.

Thanks :)

If you don't mind the cost and can get past the fact that they're made from sheep, you could try Trojan Natural Lamb condoms. I have to use them because of my latex allergy, but even if I didn't, I doubt I could ever use a normal condom. I literally forget that I'm using them sometimes.

Spider Venom causes muscle contractions and has potential of being a good way of getting a massive erection. (If you can deal with the massive amount of pain that comes with it)

Lamb Skin condoms are very good (had a girlfriend allergic to latex) and Trojan Ultra Thin are good from what I have heard but I never used em.

The best I've used were Durex love, I've heard a lot of people recommend them and I found that they were better than regular 'ultra thin' style condoms.

Just use a snickers wrapper. It's scientifically proven to be the most effective form of birth control.

Don't actually use a Snicker's wrapper. Just because people have demonstrated they need to be told things like that in the past.

Actually, I'd imagine a Snicker's wrapper would be extremely effective as birth control. No girl I know would get with a guy wearing that. No sex, no baby.

Start masturbating with a condom on. Also, before you put it on, put a tiny drop of lube in the tip, as lubed condoms will transfer the warmth and motion of sex better.

GoodOmens has a very good point...

That said, a post on the VaginaPagina livejournal community has a lot of recommendations; one which I read a lot is "Kimono;" they appear to make a variety of thin condoms. There were also a couple other comments mentioning Durex Love.

^that site was recommended as a good source to look for particular kinds. Good luck!

P.S. Perhaps you could use a female condom? They feel different from a regular condom but it might give you some more sensation.

This is good advice. Also look into larger ones if they're constricting.

These are the ones that are given out at my college dorm - I find them smaller than normal condoms, and I've heard more than a couple stories of them breaking.

Just so you're aware, lambskin condoms do not work very effectively to prevent STDs.

If you're both in a monogamous relationship and your only concern is birth control, then they could be an effective option.

A buddy of mine says he likes Kimono. Personally I've never really had a need for thin condoms, so I can't say from experience, but if I was looking I'd take his advice.

Durex Love are great. I've never had one break on me and they feel much nicer than others I've tried.

If you're going to use lube, only use something water-based, as anything petroleum based will wear down the condom and increase the likelihood that it will break.

The Trojan Ultra-Thins are really pretty thin, perhaps even ultra thin. They're the only condoms I've been able to wear that didn't keep me from coming, which I guess is a testament to their thinness.

Specifically, they may not protect against STIs transferrable by body fluids, such as HIV. They are just as effective against skin-transferrable STIs as latex and non-latex condoms (that is, sort of effective but still not immune).

Ego aside, how big are you? My experience is condoms that are too small can cut off circulation and feeling. When my wife went off birth control, I started using condoms again, specifically normal trojans. The fact is, I couldn't feel shit. We went out and bought some magnums, and suddenly I can feel sex again.

Okamoto makes good rubbers, I think they make both crown and beyond seven.

To each his own, but I've found condoms that have a pocket at the end (where the head goes) feel better than ones that do not. lube helps.

Seconded. However, I find that Trojan Magnums actually work a lot better in terms of providing sensation. roomier up top, seems to do the trick.

As for the second issue, prolonging, protip: Get right up to the edge of climax, stop moving, and then 'flex' (same muscle you would use to cut yourself off from peeing) your wang as hard as you can for a few seconds. You should feel the normal pressure frem flexing subside as the muscle tires, and then start moving again - slower. About half-time instead of your usual beat. Keep your abdominal muscles tight (or for more advanced movement peeples- abs, torso and lower back) and concentrate on flexing on each inward thrust.

It wont be long before the 'omigodimgonnasplode' feeling subsides a bit, and you may in fact experience the 'internal orgasm' for men - not as intense as the squirting version, but pretty damn fine of its own accord. The upside being that you can have as many of these as you want with no recharge time. When your 'done' (ie completely physically exhausted), finish off the final lap with the usual no holds barred action. Repeat as required.

Eh for what its worth, I go with Lifestyles Mega.

I had the hardest-near-impossible time climaxing with regular condoms being to small. I tried Magnums and it was no better and it was a little too loose with Magnum XLs. Then I was recommended LifeStyles XLs which felt thin enough and big enough, I later spoke to a guy at one of the online condom ordering places after they change the name (and the feel) and he told me LifeStyles XL was bigger than Magnums and a bit smaller than Magnum XLs.

Brands I have tried and not liked:

Trojan - including the delayed climax (really most people I know say its the worst brand)

Kimono - their large variety is not that large

Viva - a condom which you use their printable measuring kit and order condoms based off you length and girth, right size but felt like a tarp on my cock.
