A History Of Violence...With Food

Food Fight is an interesting movie that discusses the history of war from World War II to today...using foodstuffs that are staples or stereotypes of the countries in question. In its own way, it is rather graphic - all sorts of food are blown up into bits as the major battles of the past half-century are recreated.

It's interesting, though, how each side blends into the other, as it's tricky to figure out who's who in the battles (though if you know your history and food, it's not too difficult to figure out.) The end scene is a bit morbid and sobering as well.

So, after you watch it...are you hungry, or disturbed? Or both?

That was pretty interesting. The way they had the various foods getting blown apart was really well done.

It was really well done, and the Cold War one was especially funny.
Are they implying with the end that we are gonna destroy ourselves in this war now, or are they saying that these wars are our inevitable end? Either way, pretty grim.

I thought it was very well done. I was actually surprised that despite it being a bunch of hamburgers being blown up, the WTC scene still managed to elicit a slight emotional response from me.

The role of the ants I found fairly disturbing. But I'm mainly just hungry.
