Looks... interesting... to say the least. Gone is the art deco style from the first game, replaced by a more Half Life 2-ish feel. Well, except for the whale.

    Bioshock bad ending spoiler:
Random guess says that it's gonna take place in the aftermath of Jack conquering the Earth in the bad ending.

Also, what's the source on this stuff?

Interesting. I'm really glad they've decided to start from scratch with the art direction, they were far too good at it to stick with just one style.

I like how it looks but unless the one guy who said it goes from the bad ending is right, then I don't see how it ties to the first one.

This was produced by a student for a conceptual art course. It's not official work from Irrational.

Pretty neat but maybe a little too close to Half-Life 2 for my tastes. I hope they decide to go with a more steampunk feel.

Yeah, that did seem a bit too fishy.

I'm excited to hear any news of Bioshock 2 though. I just hope they maintain the amazing art direction, not necessarily from the old game, but that it is strong and vibrant, standing out from every other game.

I will always hate the word clockpunk. Why can't steampunk just be expanded to mean any style that makes stuff with futuristic functions look old-timey?

So this actually has nothing to do with Bioshock 2, it's just some drawings that some guy did?

bearing in mind they went from System Shock 2 to Bioshock, it's not that much of a stretch.

Bioshock was only the spiritual successor to SS2, not a direct sequel. Hence, why you weren't in space :P

I'd imagine that they'd come up with another word to stick "-shock" onto if it wasn't, though.

Yeah, though instead of BioShock (or whatever this was supposed to be about) it looked like Craig Mullins Half Life concept art.

And then the whale totally screams "Myst" to me for some reason.

And really, I would totally play a Half-Life/Myst game, especially with Craig Mullins concept art.
