Don't know if this is something to be concerned about (medical)

I felt what seemed to be specific pain in my leg shortly after I woke up. It started locally but spread through my left thigh. It wasn't just pain. It was pain with the feeling that the nerves were going crazy, like a really strong electrical feeling through my thigh, especially whenever I touched my thigh, getting worse and stronger the closer to the point of origin I got, sensitive almost to a slight brush of the skin. When I looked closely at the point of origin, I could just barely make out what looked like a tiny and faint bruise.

It's not so bad now, but what the hell happened? Did I just have some kind of hemorrhage in my leg? Is this something to be concerned about?

Well it depends on how cautious you want to be. Personally if it went away (both the feeling and the bruise) I'd probably just ignore it unless it happened a second time, in which case I'd see a doctor about it. But you may want to have it looked at now anyway.

Do you remember hitting the leg or anything to cause the bruise? If there's a specific incident causing the bruise I'd be less concerned, but if it just randomly showed up that's a bit more concerning.

Not sure how old you are or what you are looking like (weight, smoker, ect...) but I'd say that you probably slept on your leg wrong.
The nerve thing reminds me of when I sleep on my arm funny and it goes to sleep. Bruising can occur the leg was being pinched by a hard surface. It only takes about 30 minutes of blood being occluded for you to notice a bruise. 2 hours and you can get major skin breakdown. Look up google images for decubitis ulcers for that.
This could have happened if the sheets were bunched up, leg resting on heel or fist.

Wouldn't worry too much about this but make sure that you drink plenty of water and move around a little more. If you're up in age, a smoker, or inactive something like this could also resemble a blood clot that can be extremely bad. I believe the pain it less tingling and more "oh jesus someone is stabbing me" but I've never seen one starting in person.

    Take care

If it is getting better, ignore it.

If not, and especially if the bruise area starts turning into a rash, go see a doctor. Might be shingles :(
