Amazon.ca is selling a series called Passe-Partout (yes, I'm too lazy to do the accent) which seems to be the type of thing I'm looking for, but I can't get just one DVD, I have to buy a whole season, and I don't want to spend like $50 on something with only the Amazon reviews to go by.
I've heard of it, I think it was pretty big in Quebec - their version of Sesame Street.
Yup, I watched it when I was a child. We all did. It was very entertaining and educational. They had live actors, songs, puppets...
So, worth about $45 plus whatever shipping from Canada for a 25-episode season?
Man, I can teach your kids French for way cheaper than that, Nerissa.
Repeat after me: "Ta guelle, putan de merde. Va te faire foutre."

I'd say so, yeah.
Here's a song I remember from my childhood, about fishes, using two kid-puppets and their grandfather. I'll see what else I can find on YouTube to give you an idea. There's a lot of adult-themed parodies on there to filter through.

Here's another song with live actors singing about vegetables and playing spoons. Seems there are mostly songs on YouTube, but in a regular episode of the show, IIRC, there were more sketches than songs.
Man, sometimes a good lunch can totally turn around my outlook on a day. Today has gone from "Crap" to "Tasty". Though when this sammich is gone, it will probably go to "i miss the sammich"

I haven't got sound on my work computer (somehow it just hasn't seemed important enough to fix), I'll look at it after dinner... which I need to go start making now. Thanks

This is John Coleman. He founded the Weather Channel. Pretty important guy.
For some years now, though, he's been slumming it in San Diego as a weatherman for one of our local TV stations. (Maybe he just likes to keep busy. I don't know.) He's pretty serious in the clip.
For me it's a tie between 40 year old virgin and Knocked up. To be fair, i saw 40 year old virgin like 2 years after it was released so I had already been exposed to a lot of the jokes.

Now, compare it to his local persona.

It seemed like the right thing to do.
Also, that's probably the worst bastardisation of my name I've ever seen.

Holy shit. Adorable.
Not juuust yet. Innovation will have to come soon, though.
I don't really pay attention to your names, people.
Just in case.
Be enthralled.
Agreed. For now i still love them.
Its delight is just so palpable. Imagine if someone gave you a piece of food half as big as you are.
I already know.
"BAM!"
I dunno I guess each movie is less funny then the one before it with 40 year old virgin being the best in my eyes.

Huh. And here I was, thinking Superbad was the unanimous favorite.
Honestly, Remembering Jessica Stein is just looking to disappoint, but The Pineapple Express is looking pretty good.
We actually watched a ton of movies this weekend. Superbad, King of Kong (awesome), Juno (fucking awesome), and Darkon (pretty good actually).
A guy better than 99% of you. Maybe a 100%.
And yeah, Knocked Up is the correct choice. I didn't like 40YOV much.
Nobody fakes when this clack clack gets up in yo grill.
Dude who should probably be working for Sports Center. Motherfucker knows his shit.
