The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Developed in the year 2001 by the company Impressions Games and published by Sierra Entertainment, Zeus: Master of Olympus is easily my favorite city-builder game out there, easily trumping the SimCity series.
The first campaign you shall see, is the thrilling tale of Zeus and Europa! As the game puts it,
Gods, mortals and monsters will all try to prevent you from leading Thebes to glory.
Follow a cow? The priestess said to follow a cow? A peculiar command, to be sure, but then again, the priestess is never wrong. She promised great things would come to the person who follows her cow until it lays down to sleep, and build a city on that exact spot. The person will be able to achieve something that four powerful men failed to achieve and finally bring Europa back to Greece. The beautiful Europa was abducted years ago by a white bull and has not been seen since. And thus, the priestess' bovine-centric prophecy came to an end.
That cow did not choose a very good spot. She had fallen asleep a short distance away from a hideous, mulitheaded serpent beast, a Hydra, that allegedly belonged to Ares, the god of war. The monster is always ravenously hungry and will consume anything that comes near him. Building a city here will not be easy, but the rewards are irrestible!
