I see on the blog you booked at the Doubletree. I thought the "preferred" hotel this year was the Red Lion?

Both the Red Lion and Doubletree are "preferred" this year, and are close enough to each other for shennanigans amiss. Also, i'm booked for the doubletree. ;)

Also, I'm totally in if I can get this worked out. :D

Abbotsford? This makes me a sad panda. I'd go, but Abbotsford is a bit of a hike from where I am (Richmond)

EDIT: Plus I'm going shopping ahead of time, and doing tourist stuff in Seattle, so it all depends on timing.

They cast a shadow like a sundial in the morning light. It was half past 10.

For the first PAX we liked the Doubletree and their tasty tasty cookies so much that we just couldn't help but book there again.

If you look at the map here the two hotels are side by side, so shenanigans are not only a possibility, but I'd say its down right a requirement.

If you're serious about caravaning it with us, thats all good. I'll grab your # and give you a ring closer to the date to plan it out as I have free long distance. We can all pile our stuff in to the hotel, then hit somewhere for some cheap dinner, buy a lot of drinks, and kick up some gaming. Then maybe go hit one of the bars, or just stay in and get a bit sauced, rowdy and of course ultra-competitive.

I'll still trying to convince someone with a PS2 to get guitar hero!

I'm in Abbotsford, so it would be cool to see updates on how the planning progress for this trip goes. I'm not sure how many other people are heading down from here, but I know there'll be one (possibly a few more) from Kamloops, and then maybe some from Vancouver.

Having Abbotsford as that last Canadian waypoint really works well.

Yes it really really does. The border crossing there is always super quick!

And then you get the weird journey through crazy american highways on the way through sumas/nooksack/whatever, past our favorite kind of americans, and find a major I to follow down to bellevue.

Unfortunately our dude with a GPS built into his brain (or it seems like that) isn't coming this year, but I'm sure we'll make it just fine. :)
