So my apartment building's management board is apparently run by the mafia. This has been a rumour in our building for months, and there are always shady contractors around. The board gets $1,000,000 in building fees and we never see them. Also, a guy tried to sue them because he broke his ankle in the apartment building's parking garage when he slipped on a patch of ice and fell down the stairs. The management replied "You dont think there's ice in Canada?" and then laughed. Our building has been blacklisted by insurance companies and there have been apartments that people have been trying to sell for a year plus now but no one will buy them.
So my dad is trying to get a new board instated. He is getting signatures on a petition and making calls and holding meetings in the coffee shop across the street. He complained about the ice being unsafe for residents.
Well, last week his car was sabotaged. Someone poured rock salt into his gas tank and pulled at and broke wires underneath his dashboard. His car broke down on the highway and he nearly crashed.
How should I fight the mob to avenge my father?

My mother purchased one apartment for us, one for each of my brothers. She was planning to rent the buildings out after my brothers got married and bought houses of their own, since there's a hospital being built and we live near a school and a large mall. Our life savings are in that building. My university is in that building

...I got nothing, though I would suggest not trying to antagonize them further. If it is mob-owned then it's probably a nice earner for them, and they won't take kindly to someone trying to throw them out.
