Dell Service/Repair

So i've got a Dell laptop with the full accidental damage warranty on it. Somehow I managed to put a scratch in my screen a couple centimeters long.

Does anyone have any experience getting a repair/replacement from dell? Are they going to be willing to replace a screen for something this small, yet nevertheless annoying? How long should I expect it to take? Are they going to either wipe my hard drive for no reason or give me a completely different machine, forcing me to reinstall all my shit?
