I am trying to make a flash intro page for a client. I know nothing about flash, so I had a flash designer create the animation. Well, the jackass sent it to me in flv format, but I want it in swf format, and now went home for the weekend. How can I convert this without loosing a bunch of quality? Will Adobe Flash do this? I could probably just dl their trial copy and convert it if so. If not, then how can I convert it?

You can't "covert it". FLV is a Flash Video, which means your "Flash Designer" probably did it in 3D Studio Max and encoded it to FLV.

Download the Flash CS3 trial and import the FLV and embed it in the timeline.

Anything requires particular Flash knowledge or a few tutorial readings.

It's a pretty quick operation if you don't need to add anything special in terms of functionality. PM me and I might be able to help you out.
