This problem has only occurred while I am playing WoW. It has never happened outside of WoW, but I don't know if it is a WoW issue. What happens is I'll be playing and randomly the screen will just freak out and turn a bunch of jumbley colors, forcing me to restart. The best way I can describe it is like when windows freezes but you can still drag a window box around, leaving that trail behind it. Only not so defined. It kinda looks like ///////////////////////////////

If those lines are a bunch of colors.
It seems to be completely random. Anyone have any ideas on what this could be?
It is a 6800GS Nvidia card. It's about 2.5 yrs old. I thought it was heat at first, so I took off the cover to my PC and cleaned everything off, but that didn't help. And ya it's only WoW because now that I think of it, I have played lots of TF2 with no problems. I'll try updating the drivers. I guess I'l reinstall WoW if that doesn't help. I was hopeings someone had see this problem before and knew what it was related too.

You say it's only WoW, but do you play anything else that makes use of the 3D video processing? (i.e. games) If so, is the video fine there?
Try updating your drivers, try taking a can of air to your video card and clean off any dust, make sure your system is well ventilated, etc.
