I chose to remove my avatar using the "Use no avatar" radio button.
Now where my avatar was is a dead image link (in IE6, IE7) with the text "Neville's avatar."
In Firefox there is no dead image link, but still a hyperlink saying "Neville's avatar."
So something looks a bit messed up in this feature.
