Removing a Stain

I have this Navy Blue work shirt that seems to have gotten a grease stain on it (I learned never to cook dinner in my work clothes the hard way). The grease stain is about 7 inches long and about 4 inches wide. Any ideas on how to get this stain to go away?

Has this shirt been cleaned yet or is this grease stain a fresh one? according to my mom (and most of my t-shirt) you can't remove a grease stain once it has been washed for some reason.

Try rubbing some dishwashing liquid into the stain, then throw the shirt into the washer. Works much better on grease than laundry detergent.

Edit: Since it's been washed already, you probably want to rub the dishwashing liquid in and then let it sit for a minute or two before putting it into the washer.

Time to buy a new shirt I'd say. You could try some stain removers on it, but unfortunately once the grease has been dried into the shirt, it's rather difficult to get out.

Grease up the rest of the shirt so it matches.

I had a stubborn grease stain on a pair of khaki pants that I got out using Oxi-clean. I had washed the pants several times before with other stain removers, so like yours it was set-in.

Anyway, heres a link to it on Amazon, I got mine at Stop and Shop here in CT. Spray it on the stain and let it sit 10 minutes before washing. Good luck.
