Alright, so there was a power failure the other day which erset my router back to factory default settings... Meaning all the nifty security I had setup is now gone Being the lazy person that I am, I chose to simply rename the network name and go from there.... So I have not re-enabled my security....

I'm not an idiot however....

I've been logging into my router ever since to see who's been trying to connect to it, and it seems I have success.. Someone has connected to it, not only once, not only twice, but is connceted to it right now.... I know how often they conncted because each time I look at my DHCP settings I delete his address from the list and see if it reappears when he gets a new lease on his now log on....

I'm not worried about my personal data as all of the mission critical stuff is on my server which is password protected, and if he deletes anything off of my HTPC my server has a backup, so were covered...

What fun could I have right now? I can ping his machine so I know he's online, but I cannot log into using either his IP address or his UNC....

I would recommend don't bother. Set up the security on your network so he can't connect. Even though he is breaking the law by using your wireless network, he could claim ignorance (some devices automatically connect to an open access point if available). Whereas, anything you do to his computer is likely going to be illegal and you pretty much don't have a defense aside from "well he was using my network so I wanted to mess with him."

Certainly avoid any sort of counter-attack on his computer; two wrongs don't make a right, and anything along those lines would just get you in trouble anyway, as Daenris said.

But, if you're just talking about some harmless fun, I think the page you're looking for is here. It does nothing to his computer - as soon as he connects to a different wireless network, his intarwebs are back to normal. But if he wants to use yours, well, go right ahead and play. Again, though, keep it light-hearted: re-routing his access so the only page he can access is icanhascheezburger.com is cute, goatseing him is not.
