I go through headphones for my MP3 player like bus passes, so I tend not to spend more then 15 bucks on them.

Spend your next $15 on a set of Koss KSC-75's. They're one of the best headphones for under 50 bucks and Koss has a lifetime warranty.

That's the problem I have right now. Although I do listen to a lot of it through my crappy car stereo as well.

I cannot say enough good things about these guys.

    312F9NKNN6L._SL500_AA280_.jpg
    Sony MDR-W08L Vertical In-Ears

I have been using them for about 5 years and have worn out about 5 pairs cause I wear them for about 9 hours a day at work and the gym.

They are the perfect compromise between comfort, cost and sound quality. Ear Buds hurt my ears after half an hour and I have a big head so most full ear headphones squish on my head and hurt after a while. These guys are so light and supported and fit so well that I could wear them 24 hours a day and never get uncomfortable.

    I have these: http://www.amazon.com/TECHNICA-ATH-M30-Dynamic-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00007E7C8

They're nice and light, and they sound great (especially now that they've had some time to break in).

The only downside is that they're slightly small for my ears, so they can get a little uncomfortable after a couple of hours of use.

I bought a pair of AudioTechnica ATH-500s in the fall on weretac0's advice. I loves them.

I am in the market for an amp/receiver in order to drive some speakers that my dad built in the late 70s. They are extremely ugly (gold speaker fabric? What?) but they sound really, really good.

So I just got a call from Creative Labs, who I'd sent my 60 gig mp3 player in to for RMA. It's busted and they don't have a replacement, so they're offering me two 30 gig players instead.

In what situation would someone possibly want two small mp3 players over one suitable-capacity one?

why do you need a 60GB one, anyway?

i function perfectly fine with a 6 gigger

Right now I'm figuring out if I could take them, sell both, and buy a new 60 gig player (ideally one that isn't Creative) with money to spare.

t Potatoe: because I have about 60 gigs of music and never know what I'll feel like listening to from one hour to the next

See I could not do that

if I were to run into a situation where I really felt like hearing a song but it wasn't on my mp3 player, it would ruin my day.

Is there a company that makes mp3 players without being completely retarded about it? Apple and Creative both struggle pretty hard in that respect, but there has to be someone out there who's doing it less-completely-wrong.

Cowon is good, but pricey. I don't think Sony makes a high-capacity player, but Sony sound quality always gets big thumbs ups.

I think i'd buy a pair of the Bose Quiet Comfort 3s, except they're huge and I look like an idiot wearing them and I'd likely get beaten up.
Maybe if I lived somewhere like Seattle i'd get away with it.

i enjoyed my old archos for years until it finally died from dropping it too many times
then i opened it up, reattached the battery cable that came undone with some tape, and used it for another year or so

my rio carbon pearl has been running strong for about 2-2.5 years now, and is showing no signs of stopping...but i think rio only makes 'em up to 6GB

So, kind of on par with this thread.
I was cleaning around the house and I found a huge box I had put away of tons of CDs.
I found all kinds of cool stuff I had seen in years, like Tit Wrench United, Psychic TV stuff, lots of 90's industrial, ambient stuff. I am so giddy right now.

I even found a House of Pain cd, BOOYAH

Bose phones may be overpriced but they're super nice if yours breaks. My QC cracked last year and it was still in warranty and they sent me a new one within the week. Super dudes

That being said I'd buy a pair of Senn's now if mine broke again
