PSP 2000 play on TV. How?

I really hate making a thread for this, but my room mate has left his PSP 2000 here with the TV plug thing in. He also has Crisis Core so I figured I'd give it a shot.

He's only used the TV tuner once. Was pretty pissed off that it was highly cropped and didn't take advantage of our hugmungous HDTV, even though it was component.

Well, I wanna play, but I just can't figure out how. I'm pretty sure it's the official TV cables as well.

Hap! Hap!

in the XMB there should be an option for select output. Set it to TV. Its under the system settings I think.

Since this is here, I thought I would also throw in a question with regards to the output. I know there's nothing I can do about the insane jaggies, but playing Crisis Core, the colors and such seem extremely washed out.

I also have a fairly new tv and know ass all about the calibration of it (and don't want to spend 30 bucks on disk tools, admittedly) so that may be part of the problem.

    Anyway, any suggestions on this?

Err... Adjust the TVs color options so it looks better? I mean you dont need a 30 dollar disk for that.

Heh, I know. I did that. I apparently am not having a huge amount of luck with the settings, which is why I was seeing if there was anything specific. I've played with the settings a lot, and I can't seem to find the magic ones that make it look less like whitewashed ass.
