I too recently read the entire Achewood archives. I used to think it was boring, stupid shit and now after reading...
It's not so bad. My real complaint is that it really isn't consistently funny. I also found a lot of the characters stupid(the robots, Phillipe, Todd). The only ones I really liked were Ray and Roast Beef. But, despite these complaints, there were a few comics I felt were really good.
Well you see, when a man loves a woman very much ... this leads to meoisis of the cell ... random minglings of genetic material cause unique structural mutations in the skeletal structure ... an because the skin and bones age over time.. and so you see adolesence brings with it the whole other load of dice ... effect not only tonality and hair growth, but also the release of oils in the skin ... this is also reffered to as a "goatee"... dark sided ... big ass zit ... and there you have it, my face.

And when some forumers love the same thing very much, they get together, talk about it, and have a good jerk/diddling session. Whatever their speciality.
And when other forumers come around, they stick glass up these forumers' pee holes.

new update of the GOF is up, if anybody is interested.
I'm playing the most epic music I can find, come next update. There's no more need for dialogue. It is laid down flat and plain. These two warriors, who have been tight since small times, must now face each other in combat.
I'm thinking something with a lot of drums and chanting latin choruses.
Captain Uglyhead on
Spiderweb Software makes fun, reasonably priced games for PCs and Macs. Big demos, too!
Oh man, I love Achewood so much. I used to be kind of indifferent about the whole thing, I just didnt get it. I didnt understand.
I was really bored the one day, so I started reading the archive. I read it all over a period of two or three days. Read all the blogs too. Except for Lyle's blog. I can't make sense of that. I realized that not all webcomics need to be joke a day comics. Some of them, like Achewood, are as much about characters and story than they are about jokes. Achewood has funny shit in it-- TONS of funny shit. But if you are just reading the comic once every frew days, you won't understand.
The GFO is one of the greatest stories ever told in the history of Achewood.

That would've been cool too, but right now we need some Anvil of Crom

I love Teodor's indignant look in the second panel.

also, I think the great outdoor fight arc has got to be one of my all time favorites
I kid, I kid.
Here ya' go:
I agree. This story arc is great, and I am excited to see how it ends.
Much love for Achewood. Especially the current story arc.
His humor reminds me a lot of Chris Ware (Acme Novelty Library).
Especially Nice Pete. Everyone loves Nice Pete. Unless he's murdering them or screaming in their face.
I have faith that today's will make up for it.
All i remember is that Roast Beef is in outer space in a rocket and gets a call from Ray saying there is porn with ruuuuude titties.
Its like, comedy.. but not.
The the Achewood Appreciation thread is probably the wrong place for you.

The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Pat is a hilarious character.

Well then, if that's how it's going down, maybe something with a lot of kickass guitar riffs will be more suitable.
'Cause ain't no motor vehicles gonna stop this party now.
