Online Classes

Does anyone have any experience with these? I want to take my Continuing Spanish class online because I have an amazing job lined up for this summer. Its not so much that my boss wouldn't understand or anything, but I just want to make a good impression by not saying, "Oh ya. I've got this too." I know he'd be understanding, but nevertheless.

I'm not the best at spanish either, mind you.

a language is something you won't learn without interpersonal communication.

Agreed. You may be able to learn how to read and write it, possibly even hear and understand it if you have good sound samples. But without feedback on how well you are speaking it, you aren't going to learn it very well.

Anything else may be okay for it. I took a speed reading course online last semester. It included timed online tests and all. It was mostly learning the techniques and putting them into practice. Something like that would be better to take online. A foreign language would probably be a problem.

    What grade do you want?

More importantly do you actually want to learn spanish or are you just doing this for the credit?

I'd love a B. I don't really want to learn the language, it has nothing to do with my major. All I want to do is get this class over and done with.

I personally hate online classes, but I have 4 this summer. Sometimes it's what you gotta do.
Sure, you can probably pass it. It might take more work in the end, but you can at least pass. Others do.

Well I more or less enrolled already assuming I'm taking this over the summer. There's only one day I wake up before 9 and I have no classes Friday. If I take Spanish II next semester, this tarnishes that. Also, if I let the whole summer pass without taking Spanish II, I'll forget most of the shit. In hindsight taking my first semester of Spanish at the end of this year probably wasn't a good idea.

If possible look for a small community college in the nearby area that offers spanish where the credit transfers. I did that and both my courses were easy street, especially spanish II. This will be hit or miss though who knows what you'll get for an instructor. I've had online classes but not language. I didn't like them at all. Good luck.

Pro Tip: Do the work on a schedule as if it were a real class
