That's one thing I wish I had when playing, was some form of analog control for turning.

I PM'd FZero to change the title to say "No Starforce!", because I know a lot of people won't even look at this because of that.

If he doesn't do it in a day or two, I'll just have a mod do it..

I forgot how much I love Trackmania. I have to get United... Forever. The titles are a tad confusing, but whatever. It's such a creative series. And that graphics engine! I wish Nadeo would make some other games, or at least license out the engine. It looks wonderful, and is remarkably scalable.

I find myself playing with a keyboard, though, since my last controller broke. It works surprisingly well,

I used to play this a whole heck of a lot, and have the purchase version. So will I be able to play with all you guys?

Also, one of my few proud moments from the game.

    Thanks.

I'm definitely going to have to try this when I get home. I haven't played TMN since I installed Vista, but I played it an awful lot before that (was almost able to crack top 1000 but I never quite made it). I also bought United but never really played it... maybe it's time to retry it.

You can play with other Nations players just fine. You should be able to patch your game with the new content. Nations players are just limited to playing on the Stadium stage, and they don't get coppers and some of the other doodads in the full game.

I might get it eventually we'll see.

I think this is one of the few racing games that works quite well with a keyboard, personally!

Also, have they added an option to calculate collisions with other cars this time around?

If they haven't, that's cool; it's one of the signatures of the series but it would also be a nice branching out.

No it's still racing without interference from other players. I imagine they would have to do some major recoding to the engine to allow player collision. Also it would make racing most maps pretty impossible.

I liked your track, one thing I've noticed in most of the tracks with loops and sideways driving bits is they automatically change your camera for to first person when you hit them. I'm not sure how easy/hard this is to do since I haven't touched the editor yet, but you might want to think about adding it.

As it is you pretty much have to play the whole thing in first person.

Is it possible to load up a custom soundtrack in this game?

Okay, so for those of us that already bought United on Steam, will it automatically update to United Forever? I bought United on Steam when it first came out, but never really saw many people from here (or the US for that matter) playing, so I haven't really gotten very deep into it. Add me on Steam if you like, I'm on there as Polaris314. I still have United installed, and I'll be sure to jump into some games with you guys when I get the chance.

The arrow keys work, but on crack, and the rest of the keyboard doesn't work... The thing you end up turning off is the volume adjustment buttons, which I accidentally forgot to replace the last time I cleaned the keyboard, so I'm not bothered by that anyway.

I'd forgotten one of my favorite things about TM is the way they do an absurdly good job of making these insane tracks look realistic, with attention to all these girders and structural supports and welds, etc... It makes doing a pair of 150 foot loops all the more hilarious.

Downloaded this game yesterday and I'm loving it. Stayed up till the we hours having a blast. I love how the ranking system is updated after every medal. Possibly the best free release going around. I'm on as cohsae if anyone wants another friend.
Also I know it's still early days for this version but can any trackmania veterans recommend some websites for downloading decent tracks?

Apparently I scored 4 medals on your track, not sure what that means. I could improve my time with at least 10 seconds, I think.

    tmtp://#score=aldoleo:Adrenaline+high+and+crash:142470:4EB71882

Anyway, the dirt parts are pretty dark, I had to squeeze my eyes to see where the bumps were, if there's a way to add some light there: awesome. I also think your track could do with some warning signs to point me in the right direction, I don't really enjoy riding in the water because I didn't notice I should take a left turn somewhere.

It was quite a challenging course and I'll try to make one myself today, I think. It's probably going to be a little less complex. :P

Does anybody know if it's possible to look at the ladder for solo rankings? Because I've been playing the shit out of this all day and am currently ranked 4th in Australia in solo (Woo) and I'd like to see how many medals #1 has.
On a lighter note, this was me approximately 20 minutes ago. "Fuck getting these gold medals on the D tracks is hard! OMG I finally got gold on D05! Wait what's this, NADEO MEDAL!? STAFF GHOSTS!? HORRIBLE FLASHBACKS TO F-ZERO GX?! ARRRGH!? (Shoots self)"
Seriously those NADEO medals are fucking insane.
