[SOLVED] Will songs burned on a DVD Disc play in a CD Player?

I'm making a huge CD for a friend and she wants to listen to it in the incredibly nice stereo in her room, which obviously uses a CD to play.

I have a ton of songs, probably about 3 CDs worth. I was wondering, if I burn the songs (MP3s, for instance) onto a DVD Disc, will they play in an audio stereo?

    No.

They are encoded differently and require different kinds of lasers to be read properly.

:( I guess I'll have to use a ton of CDs then..

    Thanks.

some stereos come with the built-in ability to read a 'data' cd filled with mp3s, give that a try first. (instead of picking "audio" pick "data" when burning)
