Easy Drawing Program for High School Students?

I just introduced an art class to a Wacom tablet. Our computers have Photoshop Elements on them, but I'm worried that it's too complex. I have to give a few demos of it today and I don't want to be worried about explaining layers and resolutions and whatnot.

I'm looking for a free program that might get them interested in doing digital artwork.

We use Macs here.
