What is the most important enhancement for Cyborgs?
I like to imagine that the OP is perhaps an actual cyborg and, upon finding this forum of obviously spirited fellows, decided to pose this question in a noble atempt to better himself.
And the answer is obviously a hydraulic penis that shoots lasers.
First off, one has to ask what level of cyborg are you talking about? Are you talking about someone who has just had a few minor additions, someone who has replaced major parts of their body, or someone who has undergone a full body replacement? There are major considerations for each - for instance, amplifying the strength of a cybernetic arm grafted to a normal human skeleton isn't really a good idea, because the human body isn't designed for that sort of stress. Secondly, will there be restrictions placed on your body because of the modifications you have? Someone with specialized modifications could find their travel options limited thanks to arms export limits.
That said, I would say that "must-have" modifications aren't going to be the flashy type. I would more see things like integrated filters in the lungs, internalized drug pumps, and other low-key mods getting more bang for the buck than an integrated weapon. (Remember, to integrate a weapon into a limb, you either turn the limb into just a stump that shoots things or limit the limb's usefullness in other ways.) Successful modifications should expand options, not limit them.
Something about the brain, either a wireless connection (though that would SUCK--it takes me 3 hours already to write an essay connected to the internet, imagine doing anything), something with reflexes, or skill implants--put a chip in your head for 60 bucks and learn Chinese! Something that controls the metabolism would be crazy awesome as well--imagine sprinting off a slice of cake in 15 minutes.
Sure, until OCP enacts Directive Four, and... uhh, some other shit happens, and RoboCop ends up with a jetpack and gets shit handled, but still, jetpack is the important thing here.

Totally unrealistic. Something like wolverine would be better.

An Ares predator with a built-on smartlink system connecting to their cybereyes (rating 5) with image enhancement and hopefully some high-rating reaction enhancers to give an extra edge in whatever running sprawl firefight you get into.
Cyborg eyes. Visual processing takes up a very large chunk of the brain because it's just so dang useful for everyday work. Let me see into the infrared and ultraviolet! Let me see the secrets the bees are hiding!

But remember that the T-1000 couldn't shape to anything more than a blade. The T-1000 was more designed as a stealth assassination unit, not a heavy combat unit. Besides, once you get to nanotech, there are a lot more interesting ways to weaponize it.

Wouldn't be nearly as easy (or useful) as you think. First off, we wouldn't have the ability to comprehend what we're seeing naturally - the eye would have to shift the image data to a form we could actually process. So it would more work as filters that you can turn on to shift your eyesight's visual range. Second, visual processing takes up that much space because it's hard.

This is probably the one I would enjoy most for everyday usefulness. Remember all the cool visors in Metroid Prime? Yeah, I want all of those built into my eyes.

I think the first things you'd see would be super small. Nano-bots in your system sending information possibly powered by your body, or more invasive, ones that can actually make corrections like cleaning plaque in your arteries. Really I don't believe you will ever see a half-man-half tank think rumbling down the boulevard, I predict subtle enhancements that can help integrate us with whatever tech we have out there. Why give someone a super-arm to lift heavy things when you can maybe build an expendable robot that reacts to his/her commands?
also tank treads to replace feeble meat legs, some sort of arm cannon with a chainsaw bayonet. The degeneration from any semblance of sanity to teeth grinding berserker can be quickened with these handy attachments

Birds can do it.
I'm pretty sure birds have a relatively well developed visual cortex as well.

i'd like to change my answer to this one

Yes?
Ok, I'm done here.
Morality-core-powered Liquid-metal dual hydraulic-powered laser-shooting penis
Also, hyphens.
To make it go FASTER.
I read it as "Dear God" - A Morality Core

But with a morality powered penis, how would you do half of the things most internet people fantasize about?

Actually, telerobotics is a major branch of robotics today. The problems are mainly lag, lag, and, well...lag.
No, you don't understand, it feeds its power source with morality, sucking the morality out of the very air.

The most valuable thing cybernetics can grant us is prosthetic replacements for lost limbs and organs, at least until we can grow real ones in vats.
Beyond that, it's a toss up between increasing durability, enhancing existing abilities, and adding new ones.
It would be pretty fun having mental control of your own robot body guards.
Yes, of course. hentai clearly demands this.

No way man. It would have to be robo-tentacles then.

Oh yeah:
I also want a hydrogen fuel cell.
And hydrogen peroxide. I don't know why.
Birds can do it.
