My laptop has recently stopped playing any sounds - whether on a video, or music - on any player. I've even tried downloading some new ones. Windows Media Player also refuses to play anything, and iTunes does as well (meaning they dont even look like they're trying to play the music.) MSN has stopped making noises, and no other program I've downloaded has made a noise. Despite this, I'm still getting all the usual windows noises. Is there any way to fix this? I've been considering just formatting my computer and starting fresh since the school year is over and I dont need any of the stuff on my laptop now, but would rather avoid that.
