Nintendo Channel Trouble

Whenever I boot up the Nintendo Channel on the Wii, after the "sending data" screen the "error code: 261412" message pops up. I looked this error code up on the wii support site and it says that it might be their network being down.
That doesn't make any sense because everyone else seems to be doing dandy with it.

I've updated the firmware on my router, and my Wii has no problem connecting to the internet, but this channel in particular is having a rough time.

Any help?

    Have you deleted and redownloaded?

Yeah, I've deleted the channel and the save data and redownloaded.
I've also cleared the connection setting and re-entered it and none of this has worked so far.

What wireless router do you have?

    d-link
    DI-624 C model.
Apparently it was some proprietary Verizon one they gave to Fios customers. I managed to change the firmware to the August '06 update though via crash-recovery.

I know I say this everytime a wireless issue comes up with the Wii, but what channel is your wireless set to broadcast at? I think default is 7, and that signal is normally tied up. If its not either 1 or 11, try setting it to that and then turning off the Wii and turning it back on.

I've tried both channels and neither have worked.

Give Nintendo a call perhaps? They're usually pretty awesome about fixing stuff. :( Sorry sir.
