I have iTunes and Windows Media Player and my trial of Nero just ran out. I need to burn an audio CD within the next couple of hours and was wondering if anyone knows of any free programs that I can burn CDs with that will play on any CD player, particularly car stereos.
When I burn the CD with iTunes, CD players do not recognize it. I cannot recall if I have had the same experience with WMP (I do believe I have the newest version). I don't have much time for trial and error - I have 1.5 hours and counting - so I'm not going to burn on WMP unless you all say it works.
Thanks
Solved: embrik, I saw your reply and tried WMP burning it as an audio disc. Worked great, thanks!
You're probably just missing a setting in the iTunes software options for the method of burning. WMP will also burn regular audio CDs. In Media Player 11, just click the down arrow underneath the burn tab at the top and choose "Audio CD"

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?

It's very small and so far does an excellent job of burning data and audio discs, and discs from ISO images as well.
