Intec Wii Charger

I'm looking for a decent Wii Charger and came across the Wii Charger. I'm not a really big fan of Nyko stuff since my Xbox 360 charger doesn't work anymore after a few months, so they are out of the picture.

Scouting around though, it seems there is mixed opinions on the Intec Wii Charger, either saying it sucks or it's greatest thing. Does anyone have experiences with this?

No experience with this one, but I've had the Nyko one for almost a year and it's worked flawlessly with no noticeable loss of battery life, no glitches, etc.. Even has a nice little protection built in - if the power surges or goes out, it won't come back on until you unplug it and plug it back in. Works great.

[Edit: Forgot to mention that I did in fact read your post and I know you're wary of Nyko. Their product is pretty good, though.]

Just buy some rechargable AA batteries and save the trouble of stuff like this. I've got some energerizer batteries that came with a 15 minute recharger. Works great for Wii/360/TV clickers/ect.

The bonus to this is you can loot batteries from other things if you need some really fast while some others recharge.

I also have the Nyko and every time someone starts a thread about Wii chargers, the consensus is always for it. You might want to reconsider.

Reconsider. The Nyko one is the best, and they sell REPLACEMENT BATTERIES at places like Best Buy. How many recharge docks offer that?

    Really funny story.

I actually managed to nab the Intec for 5 bucks and I'm going to return it. It's one of the biggest pieces of crap I have ever experienced. I let the thing charge for over 5 hours and within less than two hours, the damn thing dies.

The problem I see with the Nyko station though is the rubber battery covers and since I do use my Wii Wheel for Mario Kart...

Yeah, I agree on the rechargable batteries. I've been using Energizers for a year and a half and they're still kicking with only a little noticable loss of battery life.

I already had the Nyko when I got Mario Kart, so I was a little worried about this.

But fear not! It does make the B button a little loose, but it still works fine.

I find these third party batteries pretty crappy. They don't last long at all.

Just grab some rechargeable energizers and a slow charger (at least four hours). Will last you forever.
I've got some energerizer batteries that came with a 15 minute recharger.
Jesus, you're raping your battery life with a charger that fast.

I have that intec charger and it's pretty horrid. The batteries don't last long and they take forever to charge. It also lights up like crazy so if your wii is in your room and you try to charge them overnight your room is going to glow bright blue.

I only continue to use it over my eneloop recharables so my friend doesnt feel bad for buying me such a horrid product

It's worth it and I've been using it for over a year and they work just as good as ever.

I see it uses USB. Does the Wii run power to the USB when it's turned off? I would rather have it charge through AC.

Yes, there is a standby mode on the Wii.

The Nyko one uses AC. Still has bright LEDs though.
    Seriously, can't recommend it enough.
