So here is what has been happening to me since Saturday. I got really drunk Friday night, and understandably had the hangover on Saturday. Not a bad one, just a normal one (like the ones I used to get back in college). However, both Sunday and today I have the following symptoms:
First I get a pressure type pain behind/around one of my eyes. Then, I have a kind of dull headache that normally lasts for the rest of the day, varying in strength and if I've taken advil. This has happened both days thus far. As well, my vision seems to get a little weird, not terribly so, but something is definitely up. Its more irritating than it is painful, but thats what seems to be going on. I am normally fine when I wake up, its about mid morning that something seems to start happening. The last time I had a migrane was in high school, and that one took me out for about a day, with different seeming symptoms.
Any advice on this? Do you think this has to do with what I did Friday night still, or triggered by it, etc.
I know that sometimes my migraines can be triggered by dehydration.
The pain behind the eye isn't something I've experienced in my migraine headaches. I only experience acute pain behind my eyes when I have a sinus headache and the pressure feels like its going to shred my eyeballs.
Messed up/blurry vision is can accompany a migraine headache, or sometimes appear all on its own, called a visual migraine.
First and foremost, even though you've always recovered from your hangovers without issue, Make sure you rehydrate. Dehydration is a nasty bugger.
I've had blurred vision along with my migraines, so it doesn't worry me now. However, when it first started happening, I got checked out by my doc to make sure it was nothing else. If you haven't done this yet it is a something you really should do.
My migraines start with pain/pressure behind my right eye and alcohol tends to be my biggest trigger. If you take advil and it goes away I wouldn't be too worried. If the symptoms persist and it turns into a migraine that takes you out of commission for a day I would recommend seeing a doctor.
