Spaced: The best thing to come from Britain since...uh...
I've created this thread not only as a tribute to one of the greatest TV series of all time, but also to celebrate "McSpaced" being cancelled by Fox (McSpaced was the American version of Spaced that didn't include the original creators).
If you haven't heard of Spaced, well, its about time you did. The same guys who made Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were the masterminds behind "Spaced", and it shows. You can see it when it comes to America for the first time on DVD sometime this year.
There were two seasons of Spaced, and though I (among many others) was sad to see it end in 2001, I would rather it end strong (Arrested Development) than sort of flicker out.
Socialism is the concrete foundation of America. Capitalism is the flimsy tin shack that sits upon it.
Yes, I thought it might be against the rules, but I figured that if you could link to a fucking youtube video of the entire episode then you could just send the person the episode and still be fine.

My favorite episode of Black Books is probably the second one.
I mean cause shit
the build up to the end was fantastically done
I like the one where they try to replace this hyperexpesive bottle of wine with other wines and crap lying around the house.
And the one where he asks for his lolly and it's a bottle of wine frozen on a stick.
That's the second one. The first thing you said, at least. I think the second one was... The fifth episode? It was a the one with the really hot day. And Dave's Syndrome.
Also god damn it does not take much for me to get a little tipsy.

Ah, you guys are lucky then.
I could upload the other episodes, if you wanted.
I'm just not sure how to do it on youtube. I thought there was a ten minute limit?
Me, too, I've no idea how this guy got past it
I'll put it on rapidshare, then.
I'll try to get the second and third episodes done tonight (I have to split each episode into two files).

"Edgar Wright posted to his blog the press release finally announcing "Spaced" for US DVD on July 22, 2008 via distributor BBC Video"
I still think Black Books is the superior British sitcom, though. Maybe I just have a thing for crabby Irish booksellers.
You should see Dylan Moran's stand-up.

I would get the dvds but I'm finding it's sort of a hassle owning a lot of stuff

I love the security door episode.
"What do you want?"
"Oh, I'd like some hardcore pornography, please. Nurses. I mean, administrative nurses. Senior administrative nurses."
don't know how well it would travel beyond the British Isles though
Fucking YES!
Man we used to get Father Ted every Sunday or something on the ABC. Grew up watching that. I also liked the episode where the plane crashes.
Everyone needs to watch more Red Dwarf.
