I'm having a boatload of trouble taking my old analogue camcorder videos and putting them onto my computer.
I'm using a USB video capture device (Angel USB External) and I've tried using windows movie maker to try and capture the videos, but I keep getting error messages (device being used by some other program, but there's NOTHING else running).
After searching around, I read that Sonic MyDVD software would work. It kind of did... it recognized the device, gave no errors, yadda yadda yadda... but the video that was captured is not able to be edited, AND it's in the form of a DVD drive on my computer, not the MPEG that I was aiming for.
So long story short, does anybody know of any capture software that will take the video and allow me to edit it? I'm trying to get a b-day present prepared for my grandmother (it's not for a month or so). Thanks.
